What is Coffee Snobs?

A free app for specialty coffee. You log the coffees you drink, compare what you taste with the roaster’s tasting notes, and see which flavours you like most. You can also see what your friends drink, and find new coffees from more than 70 European roasters, with prices per 100 grams so every bag size compares fairly.

Can I join?

Not yet. Coffee Snobs is a closed test with a small group of people I invited. It opens first as an Android app on Google Play, in the Netherlands and Belgium; there’s no date yet. Join the waitlist and I’ll email you when it opens.

On an iPhone, or living somewhere else? Join anyway, and I’ll tell you when you can use it.

Is it free?

Yes, and there are no ads. It doesn’t make money today; if that changes, I’ll say so here first. No roaster can pay to be listed or to rank higher.

How do you choose the roasters?

I pick them myself, based on independent reviews, competition results and other sources I trust. I haven’t tasted them all yet, so see it as a starting point, not a verdict. Almost half are Dutch or Belgian.

Their coffees, prices and stock update every week from their own shops, so check the roaster’s shop before you buy. Know a roaster that belongs here? Email me.

Who sees what I log?

You choose for each coffee. As standard, your verdict and flavours count anonymously in the coffee’s public summary, and your friends see your name and your note. You can also share a log with friends only, or keep it to yourself. A note just for you is never shown to anyone.

What happens to my data?

It’s used to run Coffee Snobs and make it better. It’s never sold or used for ads, and your account data is stored in the EU. The details are in the privacy policy, and you can delete your account at any time.
